Google Offers Free Wifi
Google plans to provide free wireless internet access on Virgin Airlines flying the United States domestic routes starting from November 10th. The idea is to help people confirm airport pick up time, make gift shopping easier on Google product search or search Google for that vital information before landing.
The company accepted the fact that such technology if not properly deployed would interfere with airplane communication. However, they were swift to add that
Google Wi-Fi internet access on plane would be an exception and would not be a safety hazard.
