Acer Netbooks First With Google Chrome OS
Acer group has done it again. The first milestone achievement, at least in my point of view, was the successful merger of Gateway and Packard Bell to settle under the Acer group. Now, it has bagged the right to produce netbooks that would run on Google Chrome OS. The netbooks are due out sometime next year and the full details about the deal are not yet public.
The name of the netbook and specs remain a secret for now. What netbook users across the globe would like to know is how much the netbook would cost. Most importantly, the date that this netbook can be expected to hit stores is also unknown.
This is also a big step for Google Chrome OS. This is a good way for Google to get their new OS out into the market. Many of the computers running Windows came preinstalled with the computer and it is a big step for Google to get their OS preinstalled on these computers.
