Question

How can i block my IP address? I meant how can I stop other people using my IP. Because, I recently bought this laptop thru a friend of mine and lately I'm having a hard time connecting to network due to the IP address is being used.

Hey RC,

It sounds like you are either using a static IP or you are not obtaining your IP automatically. To change this, right click on the wireless network icon in the system tray and click status. Next, click properties. In the list of items in the new window, click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and then click properties. Next, make sure that "Obtain an IP Dynamically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" are selected. Click OK. Hopefully this fixes your problem. If not, you may need to check with the network administrator or the settings on the router.
