Question

How do I set three machine so I can see what is on the other screen. I am trying to set up cafe but I don't understand the settings. I network the machine already but I cannot get it to work with the software that i am using.

Answer

Hey,

Doing this depends on the software you are using. I personally use real VNC since it is free and easy to use. You can also use the built-in Windows remote desktop if you have operating systems that can handle these. You will need to install the VNC server on each computer you want to connect to if you use VNC. For remote desktop, you will have to enable it as described here:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsXp/using/mobility/getstarted/Remoteintro.mspx. After you have done this, you should be able to use the client VNC software or client remote desktop to connect via LOCAL IP address to the computers. The local IP address will probably look like 192.168.0.2 or something similar. You 'may' also have to allow VNC/remote desktop in your firewall settings depending on your security settings. Also, you are going to have to open up ports on your router if you are trying to access these computers outside the network.
