Question
Why does a computer fail to power when all devices are fine?
Answer
First, I have to suggest the obvious which is making sure that the computer is plugged in and that the outlet/surge protector is on. If this is not the issue, it sounds like you have a bad power supply. Bad memory, a bad motherboard, etc usually will produce some type of beep sequence and the computer will start running. Nothing at all from a computer suggests some type of power problem.
