The Supreme Court Takes on Violent Games
The State of California's ban on the sale of violent video games was dead even before it became law. The law exists, but it simply can't be enforced. How could a law that stipulates that minors seek authorization from their parents should they want to purchase 'heavy' or violent games be enforced? It is especially tough to enforce since many violent games can be purchased online.
As the argument goes on in the supreme court, the truth is, minors are already bombarded with all sorts of violent materials from sick videos to appalling pictures. These are things we don't like them to see, but such things are widely available on the Internet for free.
