Microsoft Service Host Process

What is it
The svchost.exe process is the Generic Host Process for Win32 Services used for administering 16-bit-based DLL files.

Recommendation
This process is a critical process and should NOT be disabled. Be aware that a few trojans have been found that disguise themselves as svchost.exe. A spyware/virus scan should be able to find this trojan if it is running.
